"GIS-Sofia" Ltd. participated in the 7th International Conference on Cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), organized by the Bulgarian Cartographic Association (BCA), the International Mapping Association (ICA) and the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) - Sofia. Co-organizers of the event were the Military Geographic Service and the Bulgarian Red Cross.
Traditionally, the event takes place over two years and its main purpose is to collect information on recent achievements in cartography combined with GIS as well as to discuss proposals and search for solutions to meet the ever-increasing requirements for analyzing, processing and visualizing geospatial data in the fields of science, economics, governance, ecology and early warning in crisis situations.
The program included a Digital Earth for Smart Solutions special session, widely supported by the International Digital Earth Society.
Within the framework of the thematic sessions, six poster sessions were presented, in which "GIS-Sofia" Ltd. took part with a poster on the theme "Tourist map of Sofia and Vitosha National Park".
